Can tickets be purchased on the day of the event?

Yes, there will be a ticket office at the Main Entrance and the Car Park Entrance, with the exception of the Weekend Rover tickets that can only be purchased in advance online, group discounts buy 10 tickets on the gate and get 1 free.

What is your refund policy?

The organiser reserves the right not to refund any purchaser. Request for refunds prior to the event for tickets bought on line must be submitted to Anvil Arts. Request for refunds made during the event opening hours must be submitted in person to the event organiser prior to ground entry. Request for refunds following entry to the ground must be made in writing stating the reason for said request with supporting evidence. Requests for refunds post event should be made in writing within 48 hours of the conclusion of the event with supporting evidence. The organiser shall consider the request within 7 working days and has complete jurisdiction over any refund award.

FREE entry policies


CAMRA members are free (as are Sports Club members) as long as they show current membership cards but may be requested to show secondary proof of membership. ANY accompanying guest must pay the full admission fee.


Any Cricket/Sports Club member can gain free entry once only on each of the three days by producing proof of identity and it being cross checked against the supplied membership list held in the ticket office.


Is there a taxi rank?

No, the nearest taxi rank is in Basingstoke Town Centre.

Is there a shuttle bus to the venue from Basingstoke Train Station?

No, OktoberFest is only a convenient 10 to 15 minutes walk away from Basingstoke Train Station.

Is parking free?

Yes parking is free although the space is extremely limited and we would recommend that you use local transport.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Yes, the car park will close at the end of each day and will be locked. We also have 24hour security, however cars are left at the owners own risk and the event organisers cannot accept and responsibility for any damage or theft. You can collect your car from 9am the next day when the car park will re-open.

What are Hampshire OktoberFest’s opening times?

Friday 5.00pm – 12.00am Saturday 11.00am – 12.00am Sunday 11.00am-6.30pm

Will I be able to pay with my debit/credit card?

You can purchase tickets with a credit/debit card from the main entrance only. You can also purchase drinks tokens from the main entrance. Unfortunately there will be no card machines at the second entrance or at nthe bars.

Is there a Cash Point Machine on site?

No – the nearest cash points are situated on London Street which is just a short 5 minute walk away.

Can I pay for my beer/cider with credit or debit card

There are two ways of buying your favourite pint. One is cash only at the bar (no credit or debit cards) or you can buy beer/cider tokens by cash or card at the main entrance. Tokens are a minimum of eight for £15 and each token represents half a pint. All beers and ciders cost £4 so tokens are a little bit cheaper.

Can I camp near the site?

There are a limited number of overnight camping pitches available in an adjacent field. Camping is free of charge however you must have permission in advance from the festival organisers. Please email Ian Smith for further information.

Are there lots of family activities?

There are plenty of free activities for families to do at Hampshire OktoberFest – especially on our Family Sunday. Please keep an eye on the website for updates.

What time are last orders?

Last orders (Friday/Saturday) are at 11.40pm, with the event finishing at 12.00am. The site must be clear by 12.15pm ready to close. Last orders (Sunday) are at 6.10pm, with the event finishing at 6.30pm. The site must be clear by 6.45pm ready to close. No open alcohol containers may be taken from the venue.

Is there anything else to drink other than beer?

Yes, we have a range of ciders, wines and new for this year is the addition of two gin bars, there are also soft drinks for those who don’t drink. You can also purchase a range of drinks from the Clubhouse Bar.

Is Hampshire’s OktoberFest dog friendly?

Apologies but only guide dogs are allowed on site.


Whilst some of the ground is uneven the site is largely accessible for wheelchairs.
